Established in 1969 as The African American Congress at Tulane, what we now know as the Tulane Black Student Union was the first African American student group on Tulane's campus. In 2011, the organization’s current name was chosen in order to better reflect the changes the organization and the university had undergone over the years. The Tulane Black Student Union or simply, the tBSU, has expanded to better reflect the interests and experiences of the entire black student population on campus. Learn More
