Asian American Students Union (AASU)
The Asian American Student Union hosts various events where students can socialize, experience various Asian cultures, and get involved in the community. While past years have focused on putting on many social events, we are looking to expand by reaching out into the community and really provide meaningful experiences to our students. We strive to make AASU a welcoming and enriching organization so please feel free to submit any questions or concerns. Hope to see you all at our events!
Indian Association of Tulane University (IATU)
IATU is a diverse multicultural organization that welcomes all students, staff and faculty to celebrate Indian culture. We hold annual events such as Culture Shock, Diwali, and Holi to give the Tulane a community a taste of India. We are a growing community and welcome all to join the family! Generating Excellence Now & Tomorrow in Education (GENTE)
GENTE is committed to contributing activities and events to the larger Tulane community in order to increase awareness of significant issues facing the Latinx community on and off campus.GENTE works to build a more interactive and aware environment on Tulane’s campus. We accomplish this by planning, partnering and co-sponsoring events that hold a theme about issues that Hispanic people face or related subjects. GENTE plans major events during the year to raise awareness about and celebrate our cultures.
Muslim Students Association (MSA)
The Muslim Student Association at Tulane is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing a comprehensive understanding of Islam and the Islamic cultureamong the Tulane University community. We seek to create a sense of awareness of Islam among the Tulane community by increasing their basic knowledge of Islam. We aim to give the Tulane community a first hand experience with Islam and the Islamic culture. We extend our services to ALL members of the Tulane community. All students are eligible to become members of MSA TULANE
Tulane Black Student Union (tBSU)
Established in 1969 as The African American Congress at Tulane, what we now know as the Tulane Black Student Union was the first African American student group on Tulane's campus. In 2011, The African American Congress at Tulane became The Tulane Black Student Union in order to better reflect the changes the organization and the university had undergone over the years. The Tulane Black Student Union or simply, the tBSU, has expanded to better reflect the interests and experiences of the entire black student population on campus.
Tulane Chinese Student Association (TCSA)
Opening a channel of communication for members (mostly Taiwanese), as well as play a meaningful and visible role among other organizations and clubs at Tulane
Tulane Chinese Students & Scholars Association (TCSSA)
TCSSA is a student-run organization whose mission is to broaden the channels of communication between the Tulane Chinese community and various other cultural, academic, and professional communities in the Great New Orleans Area. TCSSA also aims at serving Chinese students and scholars and providing them support, making them feel like at home.
Tulane University Vietnamese Association (TUVA)
The Tulane University Vietnamese Association (TUVA) is a student organization committed to exposing and promoting the rich Vietnamese culture to the diverse community of Tulane University. TUVA fosters and sustains a close relationship with its community, and, therefore, places great emphasis on community service and charity. TUVA frequently donates proceeds to charitable organizations and its members have contributed countless hours participating in numerous volunteering projects. While we support awareness of the Vietnamese culture, the organization is NOT exclusive for Vietnamese students—we encourage involvement and support from students of ALL ethnic and social backgrounds. So, come participate in the TUVA experience: Culture. Charity. Community.

The Black MBA Association facilitates awareness and learning of issues affecting minorities in business and academia. Membership is open to MBA, Master of Accounting, Master of Finance, Ph.D., and undergraduate students.
National Association of Women MBAs
The purpose of Tulane's chapter of NAWMBA is to enhance the experience of women in the MBA program, to increase the number of women in the Freeman School, to promote women in business through community, educational, and service projects, to develop women as leaders, to build a strong network of MBAs, to participate in the national conference, and to support the goals of NAWMBA.
Tulane International Business Society (TIBS)
TIBS brings together students and faculty interested in the international business arena. The organization hosts speakers from around the world to present current international business topics. TIBS organizes business debates and sponsors an annual International Dinner.
Asian Pacific American Law Society
The Asian-Pacific-American Law Students Association (APALSA) represents the interests of Asian law students. It provides opportunities for members to learn more about Asian-American leaders, attorneys, judges, and law school organizations. APALSA members have participated in a variety of regional moot court competitions and national conferences.
Black Law Student Association (BLSA)
The BLSA Tulane Chapter promotes the needs and goals of black law students and effectuates change in the legal community. BLSA provides leadership opportunities and support activities for its members, collaborates with other student groups, and sponsors educational, political, and community service activities for the larger Tulane Law School community.
Christian Legal Society (CLS)
The CLS mission is "To be the national grassroots network of lawyers and law students, committed to proclaiming, loving and serving Jesus Christ, through all we do and say in the practice of law, and advocating biblical conflict reconciliation, public justice, religious freedom and the sanctity of human life."
Italian-American Law Student Association
Tulane Italian-American Law Student Association is an organization serving students interested in the Italian-American legal community. The association promotes Italian culture, provides national networking opportunities with Italian-American judges and lawyers, opens doors to summer internships and clerkships in Italy, and sponsors numerous social events with an Italian theme. The Tulane Italian-American Law Student Association is open to all students with an interest in Italian culture.
Jewish Law Society (JLSA)
JLSA assists students with access to the many facets of Jewish culture available at Tulane and in New Orleans. The Association sponsors speakers and forums on a wide range of topics throughout the year. JLSA also sponsors social functions, Graduate Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday meals, and group meetings and serves as liaison to the New Orleans Hillel.
La Alianza del Derecho
La Alianza del Derecho is the Latino Interest Legal Alliance at Tulane Law School. It promotes networking and professional development among the Hispanic law students at Tulane and with Hispanic attorneys in the US and Latin America. La Alianza works with Hispanic students to enhance academic performance, to provide career opportunities, and to provide a forum for Latino interest. It sponsors educational programs and is involved in community service projects with Latinos in the New Orleans community.
Lambda Law Alliance
The Lambda Law Alliance addresses gay, lesbian, and bisexual issues in the Tulane Law School community through panel discussions, social events, political activism, and participation in national AIDS walks. Membership is open to all law students.
Law Women's Association
Tulane Law Women's Association (Law Women) is an organization committed to examining and discussing issues affecting women in both substantive areas of the law and in the legal profession. Law Women sponsors speakers, panel discussions and workshops which focus on the nexus of gender and the law. Law Women is open to all Tulane Law School students.
Jewish Medical Students Organization (JMSO)
JMSO provides an outlet for Jewish medical students and increases Jewish awareness in the Tulane medical community. We plan activities of an educational, social and political nature. We are open-minded and continually looking for new members and new ideas. The club is open to everyone in the Tulane medical community.
Latin American Medical Student Association (LAMSA)
LAMSA's mission is to unite Tulane medical students and connect them with the resources to address the needs of the Latin-American community, and to meet those needs through service activities.
Society of Young Black Health Professionals
The Society of Young Black Health Professionals or "The Society" is dedicated to raising awareness for pertinent health issues affecting minorities on both a global and community level. The Society maintains a professional network for all members, alumni, and faculty to foster a positive image of the Tulane community through outreach projects, fundraising, attendance at national health conferences, and volunteerism.
Student National Medical Association (SNMA)
SNMA appeals to students and professionals from many different cultures that bring a global perspective to the healthcare issues addressed within the organization. Our hope is to make a difference in health and medical issues in underserved populations. Members are involved in premedical recruitment, community outreach, and public health education.
Tulane's Asian American Medical Student Association (TAMSA)
Tulane Asian Medical Student Association is a organization devoted to spreading awareness and visibility of Asian American culture at Tulane University School of Medicine, with the goal of increasing the diversity of experiences of medical students.
Tulane Christian Medical Association
The Tulane Christian Medical Association is the local chapter of the national Christian Medical and Dental Association. It is our goal to motivate, educate, and equip Christian medical students to gain mutual strength, skills, and encouragement to integrate the Christian faith into our practice.
Tulane Organization for Gays and Allies
Our mission is three-fold: to educate the greater Tulane medical community on health issues that pertain to GLBT patients and health care providers, to promote health in the GLBT community of New Orleans, and to provide a support network for GLBT medical students. We strive to provide an open, welcoming and gay-friendly environment at our medical school and to forge meaningful relationships among the student body.
